Walton Rods Update for August 2016

Updated: Aug 1, 2020

There’s been some movement over here at Walton Rods! Here’s an update.

If you’ve been following along on social media, you’ve probably already noticed the momentum being generated from the pre-sale of the Walton Rods Series One. As a matter of fact, the pre-sale went so well, we had to get more rods made. As it turned out, that wasn’t enough either! Because of the quick success, we’ve had to reconsider our current plan. We figured it was time for an update.

It tosses all these bugs, including some very serious sized meat like a champ. – Gunnar Brammer, Brammers Custom Flies.

As of today, we have very few 5-6 and 6-7 still available. Another round of the 4-5 size is being made now and will be available soon. However, once these rods are gone, that will be it for several months. Going forward, all Walton Rods will be available while supplies last, offered once a quarter.

As we grow, having our rods only available in batches will help us better control our inventory and to ensure we have enough for each round as people order them. All and all, this also helps us keep the rod prices lower by not having a ton of inventory just taking up space. Our next sale date is anticipated for the January/February timeline after we all get a chance to recover from the holidays.

christiang9612@ waltonrods not sure why, but it was super easy to fling that streamer around on that rod! Love the feel, it’s an excellent rod👌🏽

As far as an announcement goes, we have partnered with the guys over at Natives Flyfishing. With this joint venture, we will be launching a 6’6 small water fly rod we are currently calling The Native. This rod is being developed as their brain child and we hope to have it ready for spring. Be on the lookout for that!

Otherwise, also be on the lookout for a muskie/pike rod and a saltwater rod. From there, we will start down the road of breaking into conventional spinning and baitcasting rods hopefully in the fall of next year or spring of 2018.

Big things are on the horizon for Walton Rods. Thanks everyone for all of your support so far!
