Spinning and Casting Fishing Rods

The RCT is Walton Rods’ lineup of spinning and casting rods built for bass and freshwater fishing. The idea behind the series is simple: build lightweight, sensitive rods with enough backbone to fish hard, and keep the lineup versatile enough that you don’t need a different rod for every technique. At the heart of every RCT is a glossy black mid-modulus graphite blank. We chose mid-modulus graphite because we wanted the right balance of sensitivity, strength and durability—not the highest modulus number we could put on a spec sheet. The blanks are fast and responsive, but still give you enough feel to stay connected to the bait and the fish. We pair those blanks with lightweight American Tackle guides and professional-grade reel seats selected for sensitivity, balance and durability. RCT spinning rods are finished with full cork handles, while the casting rods use performance EVA grips. The 2026 RCT lineup includes six models, ranging from the 6'6" Light spinning rod with its tip-flex design to the 7'3" Heavy casting rod built for bigger presentations and heavier cover. In between are versatile Medium and Medium Heavy options designed to cover the majority of everyday bass and freshwater fishing. There’s no complicated rod science behind the RCT. Just good blanks, good components and actions that make sense on the water.
